We’re not a really sporty family and don’t watch much tv – we did watch the Opening Ceremony of the 2014 Winter Olympics Sochi (Olympische Spelen Sotsji) but haven’t seen any of the events. There have been a few great photos doing the rounds like this one:

Even then though, it’s to do with the fact it’s Koning Willem Alexander en Koningin Maxima attending and getting excited about it, I have no idea which event it was!
However, luckily, my children are learning about it at school. Here’s our little Dutch Australian explaining the Winter Olympics:
Oh and that video is also an example of the Dutch Australian bi-lingual language often spoken in our house!
