Big Bite Dutch Treats is a small business specialising in the Best Stroopwafels and Traditional Dutch Treats in Tasmania.
Owners Richard and Melanie moved to Australia in 2010, and did not realise how incredibly Dutch they were until they ordered a cup of coffee in Darwin, and did not get a bicky on the side. Because in the Netherlands, every cuppa comes with a small treat.
In 2018 they started trading from markets, events and shows around Tasmania. Soon the online shop opened and wholesale started to selected shops. Richard and Melanie bake everything themselves, no use of premixes! Stroopwafels, speculaas, Jan Hagel, pindakoeken, all fresh baked. Richard says ‘The most exiting part is that we keep trying new things, we are now working on a range of traditional Dutch lollies.”
